Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-05.

These terms govern your use of certselect.com (the "Site") and its localized subpaths. The Site is operated by Kulik Media UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site and editorial nature

CertSelect is an independent editorial comparison site covering IT, security, project-management, and AI/ML certifications across multiple markets. The content is editorial in nature: we research, source, and rank credentials for the benefit of readers making career-investment decisions. Content is not sponsored, advertorial, or pay-to-play. Our editorial methodology, including the criteria, weights, sources, and conflict-of-interest rules, is published on the Methodology page.

2. No affiliation with certification bodies

CertSelect is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or controlled by any certification body, training partner, or vendor we cover. Names such as PMP, CISSP, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Google, ISACA, ISC2, CompTIA, AXELOS, PeopleCert, BCS, and similar trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and editorial commentary only.

3. Information accuracy disclaimer

We assemble certification data from primary sources (issuing bodies, government registers, vendor pages) and document each numeric claim with a source URL and a capture date. We re-check pricing on a 90-day cadence. Information on the Site may nevertheless become stale between captures. Vendors change exam fees, eligibility rules, recertification policies, and curriculum without advance notice. Before committing to any certification — and especially before any decision involving more than US$1,000 / €1,000 / £750 in fees — verify all material facts directly with the issuing body and any training partner you are considering.

If you find a fact that is wrong or out of date, please email [email protected]. We respond within five business days and update the page in place.

4. No professional advice

Content on CertSelect is for general information and editorial commentary only. It is not career advice, legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, immigration advice, or professional licensing guidance. Career-investment and education decisions are personal decisions that depend on your individual circumstances, employer requirements, and jurisdictional rules. Where appropriate, consult a qualified career counsellor, the certification body itself, your employer, or a relevant licensed professional.

5. Affiliate-link disclosure

The Site contains affiliate links to course platforms and training partners. If you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase or registration on the destination site, we may receive a commission. Affiliate links are marked, carry rel="sponsored noopener", and do not change the price you pay. Affiliate revenue funds our research time. Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings. The full conflict-of-interest policy is on the Methodology page.

6. Intellectual property and fair use

All editorial content (text, charts, ranking tables, methodology) is © Kulik Media UG, all rights reserved, except where noted. Trademarks and registered trademarks are the property of their respective owners. You may quote short excerpts from CertSelect for review, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research, in line with the fair-use / fair-dealing exceptions of your jurisdiction (17 U.S.C. § 107 in the US; § 51 UrhG in Germany; equivalent provisions elsewhere), provided you attribute CertSelect with a clear link back to the source page.

Republication of full articles, ranking tables, or significant data extracts requires prior written permission. Email [email protected].

7. User-submitted corrections and feedback

If you send us a correction, factual update, source link, or commentary by email, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit, redact, paraphrase, and publish that information on the Site. We may attribute the correction by name if you ask us to, or anonymously by default. We are not obliged to publish or act on every submission, and we reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, and legal review.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Kulik Media UG nor its directors, employees, or contractors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or reliance on its content, including but not limited to lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data, or training-fee expenditure that did not yield the career outcome you expected.

For damages that are not excluded above, our aggregate liability is limited to EUR 100 (one hundred euros) or its equivalent in your local currency, whichever is higher. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law, including liability for intent (Vorsatz), gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), injury to life, body or health, or claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). Statutory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction (including under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, and equivalent national law) are unaffected by these terms.

9. External links

The Site links to third-party websites (issuing bodies, government registers, training partners, news sources). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these terms is Berlin, Germany, to the extent permitted by mandatory law. Consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their domicile under applicable EU consumer-protection regulations (Brussels I-bis Recast).

11. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be replaced by an enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

12. No waiver

Failure to enforce any provision of these terms is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged with a brief change-log note. Continued use of the Site after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. EU Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obliged and not generally willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) under § 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG).
